C-mentLinux™ - Linux compartment® SE

C-mentLinux™ is a small, fast and secure Linux based operating system developed by compartment AB.
compartment AB is a swedish company in the Internet business.

The C-mentLinux™ (aka compartment linux) -project started in the 1990:s and has gone through three phases so far;
  1. 2002 - 2003 - major upgrades, name changes to C-mentLinux™.
  2. 2005 - 2006 - complete rewrite.
  3. 2007 - 2008 - transfer to compartment AB (from compartment HB).
  4. 2009 - C-mentLinux versions 0.0.x - 1.x are End Of Life as of 2009-12-31.


Project Status

Currently we are working on C-mentLinux version 2.22.B which among other features include:
  • New version of the Linux kernel.
  • SirV™ - 'compartment sirveilance suite' - advanced monitoring functions.
  • RB-sirver - new software and functions for the ruby-server.
  • compartment CCM™ - upgrades for compartment content management system (link).
  • mailfilter - upgrades for functions for filtering e-mail from spam and other unwanted elements.
  • Advanced HTTP-server.
